Description: Original copper-plate engraving of the death of Paul Antoine Fleuriot de Langle. He was a French naval commander and explorer. He was second in command of the La Pérouse expedition, which departed France on 1 August 1785 and was eventually lost in the Pacific at the Samoan island of Maouna in 1787.

Condition: Fair.
Some foxing/page browning. Some soiling and finger marks. Bottom margin is very tight and uneven. No right margin. Text image transfer. Small closed tear to the bottom right corner.
