The Story of Goldiers

Goldiers was originally launched as a small British bookshop in 1991. The first name was Golden Books Ltd which was later changed to the Golden Books Group in 1999. At that time we had three bookshops in Whitstable, Kent and Camden Passage in London.

In 1999 we decided the future was online so closed all our bookshops and re-located to Whitstable, Devon in the south west of England. Following the decision to specialize in old leather book libraries in 2007 the online business grew and developed into a established international company. This allowed us the chance to exhibit at many locations on the East Coast of North America.

In 2012 it was decided to close the whole company for personal reasons and it went into hibernation for 4 years before Goldiers LLC was launched. The Goldiers.com website started being re-designed in January of 2020 then sadly Covid-19 arrived and Goldiers was never re-launched.

Goldiers will now be officially launched in January of 2021 but the website is live right now in a beta version. This website will grow as we start listing the main stock of maps and prints. All the maps and prints are originals that were collected while the company was an established antiquarian book business.

At Goldiers our aim is to recycle, restore and help keep the worlds heritage alive and accessible.
